What to Expect?
We are thankful that you are considering joining us on Sunday morning at Surrey Chinese Baptist Church. The Bible clearly paints a picture of the Church of Jesus being composed of a diverse and imperfect people. In other words: you are welcome to come as you are. There is no dress code. The majority of our members come in casual wear, but wear what you feel comfortable in. We serve and worship a God who sought the outcasts and rebels and invited them to be his children through the work of Jesus Christ. It is our ambition to be a community of faith that welcomes people with that same compassion and care.
What will my kids do while I’m in Church?
At SCBC, we believe our time on Sunday mornings is not childcare; it is an opportunity to help our youngest believers learn to love, worship, and follow Jesus. We have children’s ministry during both the 9:30 am and 11 am services during which we strive to engage our children with worship, giving, and opportunities to learn and memorize God’s word. Children grade 6 and up attend the church service with the adults, giving them an opportunity to worship and learn from God’s word alongside their parents.
